We are Zapiens, a
startup. Actually, no, we’re a company that has been building collaborative brains in large companies and organisations. We work with esteemed clients like Vodafone, Arcelor, DB, Iberostar, … and there are even more very interesting collaborations – though if I told you I would have to kill you! NDA stuff, you know, 😀
Our central office is on the outskirts of Oviedo, in a chalet with orchards, Freeda (our German Shepherd) and a lovely environment in the heart of the incredible region of Asturias. The product team works from here, although we are very much into the DHH and Jason Fried, so we firmly believe:
Zapiens is made up of 30 amazing individuals and organized into 2 fundamental areas: Business and Product. Approximately, half of us are dedicated to our product. If you have ever worked, or you are currently working in consulting and have not had the opportunity to make a product, it is something that is very cool. Basically you listen to many opinions, prioritize, prototype, launch a version and then listen again to what the users think about what you’ve created. Nothing in common with consultancy frankly!
In terms of selling and communicating we have never had our own marketing team … until now. We used to run handmade iniciatives such as attending to key events or even organizing our own (https://paraisustartup.com/en/home/) but basically we were working with a traditional approach and lots of word of mouth referals.
For the next months we will be turning Zapiens into a pure SaaS solutions so we need to move forward and get into the real marketing world, with campaigns, multichannels, brand positioning, SEO and lots of different types of actions.
We want to trust on you and delegate our public image into you. And that’s a quite a lot. :D.
Ideally you have been here before, building an early stage product into a well known saas service. You will be in charge of defining our marketing strategy, but above all, to turn that strategy into specific actions and deliverables.
We expect you to be able to turn our vision and positioning into different formats such as web, presentations, videos, posts, events, campaigns … and decide the right timing, budget and scope. We want you to think out of box too, if you can bring any cool idea just share it, we are more than open to try new approaches and actions.
At the very begining, in order to define and run your strategy you can count on a designer, a content writer and a SEO technician, eventually you might have to explore alternative paths such as partnerships o marketing shops for specific actions and events.
