Hi! As of tomorrow, the new Zapiens App update will be available. As in the previous version, there are many internal improvements and, in addition, there are two important new features. The first one is that now, as an administrator, you will have access to the account settings, and the second one is that there are new security levels for passwords.

To start with, we’ll talk about the biggest change, which is that now, as the organization’s account administrator, you have access to the account settings. This means an increase in the customization level, since it allows you to edit the organization’s logo or modify the security level of your account (which we will explain in depth in the second point). You can also change the body of the account activation emails, as well as the terms and conditions to add those of your organization. Other options you can configure are the operation of certain functionalities of the app or anonymizing some features.

The other big change is related to passwords. We have created 3 security levels that I explain below:

  • Medium, which allows users to keep their current password without making any changes. This is the default level.
  • High, that all those passwords that are created must fulfill these rules: have at least 8 characters, contain at least one capital letter and a number, and must be different to the username.
  • Very high, the maximum possible. If configured at this level, all created passwords must follow these rules:
    • Minimum 8 characters
    • Contain at least one capital letter, one number and one special character. Example: ! ” # $ % & ‘ ( ) * + , – . / : ; < = > ? @ [ ] ^ _` { | } ~
    • Cannot contain the username
    • It can’t be the same as one of the user’s last 12 passwords
    • Cannot contain the same character twice consecutively

In addition, by selecting very high, every 90 days, users will receive a notification to change their password. We recommend that you think carefully about this so that you don’t drive users crazy with password changes.

And that’s all! See you next month with more news!
