Hello! Starting tomorrow, the new update of the Zapiens app will be available. As in the previous version, there are many internal improvements and, in addition, there are two important novelties. The first is that now, as an administrator, you will have access to the configuration of the account and the second is that now there are new levels of security for passwords.

First of all, we’ll talk about the biggest change, which is that you now have access to the organisation configuration. This supposes a greater personalization since it allows you to edit the logo of the organization or to modify the level of security of your account (we will expand on this in the second point). You can also change the body of the emails of the account activations, as well as the terms and conditions of the service to add those of your organization. Other options that you can configure are the operation of certain functions of the app or aspects of anonymizing some features offered by the application.

The other big change is related to passwords. We have created 3 levels of security that I explain below:

  • Medium, with which users can keep their current password without making any changes. It is the level that comes by default.
  • High, that all constrictions that must be met meet 3 rules: have at least 8 characters, contain at least one uppercase letter and a number and should not be the same as the username.
  • Very high, the maximum possible. If configured at this level, all passwords created must follow these rules:
    • Minimum 8 characters
    • Contain at least one uppercase letter, a number and a special character. Example: ! «# $% & ‘() * +, -. / :; <=>? @ [] ^ _` {|} ~
    • Can not contain the username
    • It cannot be equal to one of your last 12 passwords
    • It cannot have the same character twice consecutively

In addition, by selecting very high, every 90 days, users will receive a notification to change their password. We recommend that you think carefully so as not to drive users crazy with password changes.

And with this, everything is ready! See you next month with more news!
